Our 4 Essential Tools for Blog Management

Running an effective blog takes tools. These are our four favorite social utensils that help us with inspiration, publication, and analytics.

  1. Feedly (feedly.com)

Feedly is our inspiration aggregator. Created as a giant content feed, Feedly compiles news feeds from a variety of online sources for the user to customize and share with others. Having the ability to receive news from industry categories such as “advertising” and “design,” we’re able to cut through content clutter and stay up-to-date with everything trending and worth blogging about. You could spend hours browsing relevant articles—enjoy!

  1. Canva (canva.com)

Now that you’ve found your inspiration and written a great article, you’ll need an equally eye-catching visual to pair with your content. Canva is an awesome tool that lets anyone design and create stunning graphics without having a design degree! With plenty of free layouts and typography tools, you’ll be able to design the perfect blog image. Just click and drag!

  1. Hootsuite (hootsuite.com)

Publishing your content to various social media platforms is a piece of cake with Hootsuite. With one click, you’ll be able to post to your LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Google+. Don’t want to post immediately? No problem! You can schedule your content to be published whenever you need it to. The Hootsuite dashboard allows you to also keep track of any engagement you receive on social media. Forget bouncing back and forth from platform to platform checking your notifications. All you need is Hootsuite!

  1. Bitly (bitly.com)

Analytics can be a scary word to some people, but tracking the performance of your blog link is vital in gaining insights. Using Bitly’s custom URLs, this allows digital marketers to track the link’s performance. You’ll be able to monitor your link’s shares, clicks, and saves. Bitly’s analytics will teach you about your audience and how to better manage your content to increase engagement.
