SEDGWICK AND THE RULE OF LAW
In 2011, JStokes and its long-time client Sedgwick, LLP collaborated on developing a new brand strategy for the 75 year old firm. While well known as a leading insurance defense firm, Sedgwick sought to recapture its’ reputation as an aggressive, resolute trial and litigation firm that leading companies trust.
Law, like history, is written by the winners. It’s the winners who set the course, frame the conversation, and shape our reality. And Sedgwick wins a lot. And as winners, they have the legitimacy to share with others how the game should be played.
This was our premise for the new a Sedgwick “Rules” campaign, intended to stop our general counsel readers in their tracks. Big, bold headlines, spotlit in in a field of Sedgwick blue, set the stage for the powerful messaging of each new “rule.” Short text in support of the headline contributed to excellent readership scores, according Baxter ad tracking.
In addition to a good reception from our target audiences, we also received strong recognition from our peers. The Rules campaign won first place in the San Francisco region and placed 2nd internationally at the Legal Marketing Association’s Your Honor Awards in 2012.
